TEST PRINCIPLE Utilizing a cutting-edge quantitative double antibody sandwich fluorescence immunoassay technique, this test measures cortisol levels in veterinary serum or plasma. Simply add the sample to the sample diluent, mix thoroughly, and dispense the mixture into the test card well. The cortisol in the sample binds to a fluorescently labeled antibody on the glass fiber, forming a complex. Through chromatography, the complex and any unbound fluorescent antibodies migrate along the *** membrane, where they are captured by cortisol-specific monoclonal antibodies on the test line. The extent of complex accumulation on the detection line correlates with the cortisol concentration in the sample. The intensity of the fluorescent antibody signal indicates the amount of captured cortisol, with results expressed in nmol/L.
