Automatic temperature compensation system The LBN2 urine specific gravity meter is a specialized instrument for detecting the urine specific gravity of animals such as dogs and cats. This refractometer can quickly and accurately measure serum protein levels and urine specific gravity. When using this instrument for testing, one drop of liquid sample is enough, convenient and fast. It is an indispensable testing instrument in pet hospital laboratories.
Operation method Calibration: Take a few drops of distilled water and place them on the testing prism. Turn the zero adjustment screw to adjust the dividing line to the 1.000 mark position. Then wipe off the testing prism and perform the testing. Open the cover plate, carefully wipe the testing prism with a soft cloth, take 2 drops of the solution to be tested, place them on the testing prism, gently close the cover plate and press it flat to avoid the formation of bubbles, so that the liquid fills the surface of the prism. Align the instrument prism with the light source or bright spot, observe the field of view through the eyepiece, rotate the eyepiece adjustment handwheel to make the blue white boundary of the field of view clear, and the scale value of the boundary is the urine specific gravity value of the tested liquid.
Test range-minimum scale
2-14g/dl serum protein 0.1g/dl
1.000-1.060sg urine specific gravity 0.001sg
